The Pilgrims were a solemn band
who had no thought of paying
for the land on which they built
their churches for long praying.
They said that God had given them
this land of milk and honey.
Besides, the savages they found
had no use for their money.
The Pilgrims starved until their hosts
gave them some tips on farming
and in return the Pilgrims preached
a God who was alarming.
Today the Pilgrim churches stand
as empty as their pockets,
while Indian casinos have
attendance that skyrockets.
