Our children stroll the primrose path of Internet today,
With Facebook, Tweet, and Xbox games all leading them astray.
They can't read books or follow through on any steady task,
But in the glow of pc screens they stupidly do bask.
Attention spans are shrinking like a snowman built in March;
Their brain cells are regressing to a kind of laundry starch.
I'd like to tell you what I'd do to halt this mental rot;
I'd like to tell you what I'd do –
Except that I've forgot!
