spuds

What good is the snow

To a city-bred guy?

Or loons on a lake

With their Daffy Duck cry?

Anything pristine

Or smacking of beauty

Makes me suspicious

That Nature is snooty;

Haughtily showing

Me things of such glory

That my description

Would be very sorry.

Snow is for plowing

And loons are too noisy.

Give me a spud fit

For roasting from Boise.
