Sunday Thoughts

I've broken some commandments
and invented quite a few.
If I did not repent so fast
I'd sure be in the stew.
I've not much room for dogma
or uncharitable views.
I figure we are all aboard
the same uncertain cruise.
I'm guessing that 'most anyone
can tumble overboard;
so keep the life lines handy --
they are not a thing to hoard.
And when the Captain calls the roll
I doubt that I'll be spotless.
I only hope I lack all pride
that's smug and oh so thoughtless!
