Zeal or Heal?

The tender nurture of the Lord
does not mean child neglect,
does not mean solid science
is a sin we must reject.
The Lord inspires research
just as well as Bible-thumping.
I'd rather see a doctor
than a Holy Roller jumping.
Faith can move a mountain
but then so can TNT.
Angels may attend us,
let the doctors get the fee.
Oh Lord, protect the children
from our ignorance and zeal.
Give us faith in science
when it tries to help us heal.
