Than I am by midterm nonsense from all those unmuzzled,
Out there howling, flailing, pouting, slugging and suggesting
Their opponent's hobbies include dope and child molesting.
Wearing Nazi outfits and attacking shutter bugs;
What happened to the handshake and a penchant for warm hugs?
I'd like to vote for someone who is modest, competent –
Mild-mannered would be very nice – how about Clark Kent?
Seems there's too much money for political campaigns
Where courtesy's a drawback and there isn't any brains.
The Founding Fathers probably are spinning in their graves
At the choice we have to make tween fools and cunning knaves.
Those who run for office in this crazy land we're in
Ought to be securely placed inside a loony bin!
