"A Pledge to America" – that's kinda catchy.
Republicans might draw some voters, at that.
"Tax cuts" is also a sure-fire winner,
Showing Republicans are never high hat.
"Unshackle our Health Care!" has got little meaning,
But whoever said that you needed one, hey?
It gets people marching and shouting, not thinking –
And isn't that just the American Way?
"Whittle Big Government Down to a Nubbin!"
That is a pledge we have heard once before.
It's not that they want things to be more efficient,
It means they outsource all their ethics offshore.
The donkeys are kicking, the elephants blowing –
This uproar gives nations a pretty clear view
of how politicians are running our country
by turning it into a unrestrained zoo.
